Rock-A-Bye My Irmi

I found this vintage Irmi cutie at a thrift store:

 A sweet and shabby little nursery lamp.
Cute little mama and her baby in a cradle:

 The base is pretty rough......

......and I'm not sure how well I will do if I try to fix it up a bit.
But I think I might try.

Because it's awfully cute.
 And it was cheap.
I couldn't leave it behind.
