I even remember his "Houseparty" show, and can still hear that theme music.
I also loved Roy Rogers, because he was such a positive roll model for kids.
DDonnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07432273791510592940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1172620894432077557.post-24727751816757166852010-05-27T12:53:45.017-07:002010-05-27T12:53:45.017-07:00Yes, I am sad too. He had one of the nicest most soothing voices to me. Now they can be together again. He was referring to the inheritance tax, which reached 0% this year after ten years of reductions--and in 2011 it goes way back up! It's nice to believe that he went when he wanted to go.Tricks and Mannershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15513194540935540128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1172620894432077557.post-87119321402450995792010-05-26T14:34:50.808-07:002010-05-26T14:34:50.808-07:00It is real sad to lose someone like Mr. Linkletter...It is real sad to lose someone like Mr. Linkletter who seemed every bit good and genuinely loving. Like you said, Heidi, we may not have known the man personally, but we feel as if we did because he was just so friendly, likable and practically (((radiated))) happiness!

I went back and read your wonderful original post about Art. It was a touching tribute to the man, especially now. I'm sure it means a lot to him, wherever he may be... :)Anthonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08876509089526819429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1172620894432077557.post-40066571128682494062010-05-26T14:25:53.502-07:002010-05-26T14:25:53.502-07:00Oh no!
