It was the very first (or close to it) issue I ever bought back in 1971. I was only 10 at the time, but I LOVED everything about this and have been a Betsey Johnson fan ever since. Loved those Young Designer patterns from Butterick too and still have many of them. Really taught me to sew! Love this! Also, I so wish you could still find those floral cotton shoes. I used to buy them at Woolworths for about $2.95! They were the best.Maria Bianchihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10777747211385138624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1172620894432077557.post-35222733190015185642011-08-06T18:18:57.390-07:002011-08-06T18:18:57.390-07:00Here is an image of Butterick 6535 Butterick 6535Here is an image of Butterick 6535 Butterick 6535 Oldpatternshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05798622613589068722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1172620894432077557.post-34883768752146091512011-04-08T07:42:34.799-07:002011-04-08T07:42:34.799-07:00My sister made the apron, bag and floppy hat and I...My sister made the apron, bag and floppy hat and I think I helped embroider the flowers.... wish I had that pattern today.... I wonder if she does?? She made hers from cahmbray or lightweight denim. She looked very pretty in it!Paper Dollshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10954124673776935513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1172620894432077557.post-42815652087568483102011-04-02T22:11:55.619-07:002011-04-02T22:11:55.619-07:00It was while researching Betsey Johnson patterns t...It was while researching Betsey Johnson patterns that I found your lovely three part series. I am so happy to find other people are still smitten. Last month I had a brainstorm about starting up dressmaking (I am a seamstress from forever ago). I am going to be making up some of B's garments as a jumping off point. I want to set up a booth at our weekly Farmer's Market. I might start a blog just so you all can tell me what you think!Mary Bethnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1172620894432077557.post-43177664613381161102011-03-31T10:52:50.318-07:002011-03-31T10:52:50.318-07:00another good one - sorry this is part 3 of 3. i a...another good one - sorry this is part 3 of 3. i am sure betsey will bring forth another one someday.yosemite faithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01099881025316197608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1172620894432077557.post-79908318707740011412011-03-31T09:11:45.912-07:002011-03-31T09:11:45.912-07:00So dreamy!! But I'll take it to my seamstress as I'm very novice at sewing!
