Little Bird Love
Mitzi's comment on my Bird Books post (Jan. 28th) inspired me to write again about bird love. Give me something - anything! - vintage with birds on it, and I will adore it. This box above is a vintage stationery box. It was perfect for me with pink roses AND bluebirds! I absolutely love it.
A pretty bird was embroidered colorfully on this vintage dresser scarf, and a sweet little wooden pin I found somewhere are accompanied by the adorable little friends enjoying the rainbow while birds fly above.
And below, this little grouping of bird sweetness includes the sweetest little book, a dish soap apron with cottages, trees, flowers and a bluebird, a little vintage greeting card cutout that I have saved for more than thirty years, a tiny little blue and yellow bird stick pin (at the top), and the pink flowered fabric with bluebirds is a little drawstring bag. (I think you can click to enlarge it?)
And below, last but not least, this little hand-painted wooden shelf with robins on it can hang on the wall or sit. I have it on a window sill.
I also collect California pottery and ceramic birds - similar to my deer collection. I will post about that collection when I get some decent pictures.
awwww, birdie luv! So cute, I can barely stand it! ;)
ReplyDeleteCute things! Great shelf! I have never seen one like it before. Hmmm..I think I need one!!! Thank you for sharing your sweet birdie collections.
