My Ransburg (Again) and That Darn Cat

I was looking through the book above (which is GREAT, by the way, filled with pictures from the movie), and since it has been quite awhile since I watched the film, I was happily surprised when I saw these pages, below.
See that glimpse of blue? It's a Ransburg bread box!
I have a similar style in yellow:
And here it is again behind Frank Gorshin and D.C with a matching canister on the kitchen counter:
So - the perfect excuse to bore you with more photos of some of my own Ransburg. Wish I did have the breadbox in blue , but I do have the roll-top style in black, as you can see here:
I have shown you a number of pictures in previous posts, but today's show mostly blue and black pieces, with my lone little gray canister thrown in:

  1. How exciting to find your Ransburg in That Darn Cat. We just watched Summer Magic Sunday evening. Love the music! Didn't see any Ransburg in that though, but apparently they didn't have a kitchen ;-) Love T

  2. I think that my grandmother had a piece or two of this Ransburg in black. Not sure what they were, though. Probably a canister, or maybe a breadbox...
Never did see 'That Darn Cat', which is strange considering my husband and I HAD a cat just like D.C. (Well, he was actually a cross-breed between Siamese & Burmese, called Tonkinese. But he looked just like him.)until we lost him to a failing kidney. Great cat, Henry was!
Thanks for this post, it brought back some nice memories!

  3. Saw the movie ages ago, when I was a kid, I think. You're really making me wish I'd gotten a set of Ransburg canisters I had my eye on a while ago! They were very pretty, but would've taken up room on a counter that I just didn't have! Your pieces are beautiful.
