I don't think I have shown you my matte white pottery deer. Some of them are on shelves in our entertainment center, along with a few white birds thrown in,
...and some of my favorite books. (I did already do a post about my deer bookends!)
Gee - what else haven't I photographed around here? Hmmmm......
The deer at the bottom of the second photo looks just like the (usually about five) deer that are always bedded down by the camper as we drive into our driveway in the late afternoon. They lay there and look at us go by (one might get up just a little) and their ears look just like that. So I guess what I am trying to say, except for the matte white color, it is very realistic. ReplyDeletei love your white deer - we have loads of live deer around here - since there are 2 pastures across the road that now belong to my brother and a huge space next door to us - they have lots of room to sleep and play without being watched. plus there are lots of old crabapple trees left from generations past and they love to eat those. heidi- i got a very nice little flat dish (on ebay it was listed as an ash tray - i don't think so!) that is kind of a yellowish green with the yosemite deer logo on it (an yosemite national parek on it as well) - i love it so much that even though i knew you would like it i have to keep it.
ReplyDeleteHeidi, What made you start collecting deers?
ReplyDeleteThe white figures are nice, but I really like the bookends! You have some pretty neat shtuff around that house...
ReplyDeleteLisa- I don't really remember, it's been so long. We grew up with deer all around our property, and I have always loved seeing them. I must have found my first one in a shop way back when, and instantly fell in love with the beauty of them!
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful collection of deer. I just remembered I have a set of deer from my aunt that I'll have to show. Twyla
