We don't usually write a lot of personal stuff on here - but I am making an exception today, because this is pretty important! Tina had open heart surgery on November 4th. She is doing VERY well, and she is now at home, working on her recovery. Lori and I went to see her at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento on the 7th.
Here we are, the three sisters:
And Tina and me:
I took her a little present. The book is about Stevie and his tonsillectomy, but still...
Stevie had it WAY easier than Tina!
We love you, T - and your heart is still just as big as ever. And now, it will be able to function better for you!!
Here's to keeping all of our hearts healthy and happy for many, many years to come.
My heart is not only big it is FULL of love for my wonderful sisters. I don't know what I would do without you. You made me cry, and that isn't easy, usually I have to be boiling mad to cry! I was a very, very lucky person to only have to have my aortic valve replaced, there could have been so much else wrong in there. I can't believe how great those pictures are in spite of the hospital gown. My caretakers at the Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento were the best. I am going to try to see if I can share this post with them by email or something to let them know I appreciate them. Also I thank God for all my relatives and friends who prayed for me. One friend from Placerville even had her sister in Texas put me on her prayer list! Thanks to everyone. I am feeling better and more full of good blood and oxygen every day! Love T

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear that Tina is okay and on the road to recovery! So far, I've only had the pleasure of reading a few of Tina's posts here at Gold Country Girls, but I've enjoyed them greatly and I could sense that she had GOOD heart.
You all look great in those pictures, by the way. You look just like the happy, loving sisters that you always talk about. And that's really very special!
Please, tell Tina I wish her the best and that I look forward to reading more of her nice blog posts, when she's feeling well enough... :)
My prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery for Tina.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's great to see the beautiful Gold Country Girls all together in a current photo!
