I thought you all might enjoy a look at some vintage Melmac advertisements, through the years. This first one is from the 50's, I'm sure, but I forgot to write down which year:
1954:

Love them. (Thanks, Faith!)
I collected some Melmac to take for our Shakespeare Club business meetings when we do potluck, because they are unbreakable. I enjoyed seeing all the different patterns, and your rose pattern is beautiful. Faith is a great and giving friend. Love T

ReplyDeleteHi my name is Gina and I am in search for some memac dishes that my grandmother used to have. my oldest sister has cancer and she adored our grandmother, since she has been talking about how she wished we could have her back here with us i thought i could bring my grandmother to her in the dishes my grandmother used to serve us our meals on. my mom said they were purchased at sears or jcpenney. the dishes were white with a border of little green leaves and tiny little yellow flowers vining in and out of the leaves. my sister has been battling cancer for 3 years now and she will have to have chemo for the rest of her life, she just turned 46 years old in october. i would love to give her as many dishes that i can from the colection that my grandmother used to have. please any idea which ones they are and where i can purchase them.... thank you so much for your time
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome find! I love melmac!
