First up today: Midge donning a pretty purple gingham frock with eyelet trim:
Barbie in a lovely pale green strapless brocaded satin evening gown:
And another Midge, this time in a sweet country style maxi dress, complete with an hooded bonnet:
I think I like this one the best:
I'd wear a dress like that, if I had one. I'm not sure WHERE I would wear it, but I would.
I love all of these dresses! Handmade and lovely. Someone had great fashion sense. Very cute. Love T
ReplyDeleteWhat a flood of memories just washed over me while reading this post! My Great Aunt Clara (everyone should have an Aunt Clara), used to make my Barbies the cutest clothes in the world. I can see her now sitting on the porch, needle and fabric in hand making tiny clothes for my near naked dolls. I still have most of them, they are very cherished.

wow, i'd wear all these dresses! they are lovely. too bad doll clothes are probably a lot easier to make than lady clothes! but seriously that folksy hooded dress is just amazing. i think i would wear it out to see a winter play.
ReplyDeleteAnd you'd be cute in a dress like that! You could wear it any place you wanted to! Midge is so cute. I love that last picture of her. Twyla
