I've written before about my love for vintage Christmas crafting done with felt, sequins, and beads, and so today I just wanted to share with you some of my favorites. (Some of them you may recall having seen before, but I couldn't help myself.)
They're just so darned sparkly and festive! Most of my items were purchased on eBay. So much work went into all of these. I love my trees that are decorated on both sides:
Close-up on the deer, the tree, and the apple:
I purchased this gorgeous Noel banner from Elizabeth Holcombe's etsy shop:
Santa has a pouch to hold "Christmas Mail" - I got him a number of years ago:
Detail of the tree that is on my huge stocking I found downtown at an antiques shop:
And these poinsettias are from the same stocking:
This tree is one of my favorites:
I mean - just LOOK at all of those sequins!
Last, but never least by any means, my own very dear vintage Christmas stocking, lovingly made by mother so many years ago. As always, it has been "hung by the chimney with care":
Happy Night Before Christmas, everybody!
Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all your items. Felt is so colorful and the sequins so sparkly, it is hard not to love them all. I have a wonderful Merry Christmas banner which I got off of ebay. I admire all the craftspeople who spent so much time on these, especially our Mom. Happy day before and I'll see you tomorrow! Love T

ReplyDeleteI loved this post~ so full of felt and sequin eye-candy!! I love felt and sequins too. I have sweet memories attached to a felt advent calendar that my aunt made for us back in the late 60's. Every sequin and detail was stitched with love.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas! Enjoy that pie!
Hugs,
Jill
