Contrary to what you might think, I didn't have one of these Heidi dolls when I was young - so I bought mine on eBay.
I also got her friend Jan:
And I have a few different little outfits for them, so they are modeling for you today:
Even cowgirls get the blues:
They are so cute, aren't they?
I didn't even remember this "Heidi Grows Up" version:
She's all ready to travel in her little pocketbook case:
Bye, Heidi!
OMG...I have forgotten about Heidi. I can't remember if I had one or if it was my sisters. What a blast from the past. Thanks
ReplyDeleteCute. I don't remember these at all, I guess I was already past the doll stage when they came out. Do you know when they were made? Love T
ReplyDeleteHi Tina! - The catalog I found her in was either '67 or '68, so maybe a year or two earlier? I'll have to try to find out.

ReplyDeleteI still have my Heidi doll, but I didn't remember that was her name! I had a Jan doll too, but I didn't see her when I looked through my dollies a few months ago. I would LOVE to have the carrying case that went with her. Loved this post so much!!!
ReplyDeleteoooooo I want a Heidi and Jan too!
ReplyDeleteI have great memories of playing with my Hi Heidi and Jan dolls. If I recall correctly, my mother bought Heidi for me when I was sick with the measles. I always loved her little carrying case because it was easy to take her with me where ever I went. I still have her and she still waves though she wears the battle scars of a well loved doll with only one leg and one solitary pair of underpants.
