I absolutely could not believe my eyes when I spotted these two little vintage Disneyland souvenir plates on the shelf at our Salvation Army store. Usually SA has things priced at ridiculous high prices - even higher than antiques shops. These weren't even in the "collectibles" section!
How much? A mere 99 cents apiece. I grabbed them quicker than you can say "Walt's your uncle."!
And I also scored this pretty plate recently, as well. It was 99 cents also - plus shipping.
Those three have happily joined my others, which I have shown you in previous posts.
I found the one below at the same SA store, but I think may have paid a whopping $1.99 for it. No, I didn't mind. I love vintage Disneyland stuff.
One of my smaller collections.
Wonderful finds. They were obviously meant for you. What a great little collection. I love souvenir plates. I love Disneyland. Together: perfect. Love T

ReplyDeleteYou have such a good eye. Great finds.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, especially your thrift finds in your wonderful part of the world. Thrifting is my favorite pastime too, but I am in awe of the rich pickings compared to mine in Australia!! Maybe you could start a thrifting tourism business :)
ReplyDeletethey were waiting for you heidi ho
ReplyDeleteHello! I came across your blog while researching a Disney souvenir plate I found at a local thrift shop, and noted that the two small ones you featured in this post are very similar to mine. The one I found is about 4 inches in diameter and features a stylized painting of the Mark Twain Riverboat. I was wondering if you might know approximately how old these plates are? The copyright notice puts it in the range of 1955-71, from what I have read, but I was wondering if it was closer to 55 or closer to 71. :) Guess I'm just wondering if you know any more about them! THanks so much - wonderful blog you have here!
