Are you ready for take-off?
Pan Am premieres tonight on ABC.
(The vintage ad above is from 1959.)
From another advertisement, circa 1953:
I'm ready for it, and I can't wait to see it!
Especially if we have fashions like this worn by Christina Ricci, from costume designer Ane Crabtree, to look forward to:

Are you all set to tune in?
"Buckle up. Adventure calls!"
Thanks for reminding me it's on tonight. I'm recording this - and hoping it's a good one.
ReplyDeleteI hope it is good after all this wonderful free advertising you have done! By the way, what is Pan Am? (just kidding) LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh Heidi Ann, we're on the same wave length! I just finished my own blog about this. I am SO excited the big premiere tonight! I'm definately breaking out the champagne glasses & poppin the cork for this one. What an exciting time it was.
ReplyDeleteLoved the first episode of Pan Am & so realistic, especially the girls bedroom. I love the period shows & movies & spend most of the time looking in the background, but I've always been that way. It's funny how many times you will spot the same extras walking back & forth behind the main actors.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the music, setting and costumes were awesome, I found I had to really try to make myself engage in the storyline. The conflict that is presented does not have the same "punch". The fact that they did several flashbacks within the one episode was a little confusing. I'm going to keep watching and hope it gets better.
