I have fond memories of May Day as a child in early grade school. We danced ‘Round the Maypole with ribbons that braided down the pole as we twirled and circled. Good feelings, Heidi. Thanks. J;O)
Today is my kitty kats’ 3rd birthday. They’re calico twinnies, orphans rescued and nursed to health and happiness by a gentle family in Truckee. I’ve been singing “Happy Birthday” to them since 6 AM. We celebrated with a tuna breakfast...or, rather, they did. We’ll celebrate more as the day goes on. Are y’all too young to remember a song called “Mutual Admiration Society?” I’ve been singing that too.
jim - i have memories of the maypole at school as well. and you have twin calicos? how wonderful.....i have a calico who is 14+ and a stray we found in the neighborhood. i love people who treat their animals well, it speaks volumes of how you will and do treat others in society. nice illustration heidi!
Faith – Tioga Pass is plowed & should be open by Mothers’ Day. Heidi will be seeing lots of traffic soon. No, not the hwy traffic that bypasses Sonora, but traffic to her home...pastry & coffee. :0)
Sweet illustration!
