A Visit from a Little Lizard

Good morning. Tina here again, finally.  It took me a while to figure out the new puzzle that blogger threw at me, but I think I have solved it.

If you look at the photo below, on the porch railing, between the planter and the metal dragonfly, there is a little teeny tiny lizard sitting there in the sun.

This little guy came up from under the porch, where I imagine he was born, inside the plaster "urn" which now holds a begonia.  I didn't see him until I had dragged the urn up onto the porch, and was tipping it over to dump out the leavings of winter.
I think he decided he liked it there on the railing. He basked a bit in the sun.
 He checked out the view.
He saw such great opportunities now that he was higher up in the world.
 Life is his oyster.
I am not sure when he went on to other pastures, I got busy finishing the little begonia project I was working on.
Just a few urns with little pots filled with small begonias, joining my eight hanging planters which I had planted with petunias, and also tucked in some sweetpea, morning glory and nasturtium seeds.
The little lizard should be happy growing up on our porch.  As long as he watches out for our three cats!
Once in a while perhaps he will return to his place on the railing and I can see how he has grown.
Meanwhile, let's all enjoy this glorious spring.

  2. Looks like he had a great view. That is quite a bit of planting on your part but I can see why you do it. Your porch is wonderful!

  3. Looks like a really good spot to have a nice cold drink and soak up some rays. Always good to have a little company as well.

  4. You do have a wonderful porch, Tina. And a wonderful house in the most wonderful of settings. If it weren’t for your cats, I would trade places with that lizard now and then. It just occurred to me that there might be a blog, written by a lizard, with pictures of a woman, and captions such as:

“The human has a few urns with little pots filled with small begonias, joining her eight hanging planters which she had planted with petunias, and also tucked in some sweet pea, morning glory, and nasturtium seeds.

“Whoops, the human’s pointing a camera at me again. Gotta pose. I'm so cute.”

Thanks Ms. Tina, Jim in Camino
