I love picking up original works of art at thrift stores for a song.
These pretty flowers are all giving me something to sing about today.
Happy daisies:
Gorgeous geraniums:
And still more great geraniums! The artist's name is on this one; her name is Mae Heideman:
Lovely little works of art, all.
I love the two geranium paintings. Perhaps someone collected them like I do nasturtiums. All of them very nice. Love T
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous paintings, I love them all.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are lovely works of art. I wonder how they end up in a thrift store. My dad did watercolors, mostly of the gold country. He retired in Cameron Park for the golf but loved to tour the gold country taking photos for artistic inspiration. When he died, 1997, most of his work disappeared. A few pieces were left for myself and three siblings. We think we know who made off with them, a family member. But he’s died since and we don’t think his kids, grandkids, great grandkids give a hoot. So far, our detective work hasn’t located any of Dad’s missing art. We just have to stick to it. Our kids & grandkids do care, very much.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Thank you, Heidi. I love Gold Country Girls for many reasons, one of which is that it’s filling up with my autobiography. Ha! :0)
I have come acrosd a wster color by mae heideman. Its a beautiful one of 3 flowers i think are panseys (sp?) I would love to know more about this piece
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that I can be of no help there ( to the writer of the comment above), as I found mine at a thrift shop and I know nothing about the artists who painted these little works of art.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, though.
