We had a light snow here in Kelsey yesterday.
Cheshire Cat, who will be 12 years old in May, has seen it all before, and he doesn't like it.He was willing to go outside and check it out from the relative safety of the front porch.
Ishi is only a year and a half, and this is his first snowstorm that stuck around. He was quite interested.
Ishi is not fond of rain, though in a lot of other ways he is a fan of water. So I wasn't sure what he would think of snow. It wasn't very deep here, probably only a little over an inch.
He saw what Chessie thought of the whole thing, but he decided to check it out himself, not to be swayed by the opinions of a middle-aged orange short hair.
Let's try the steps.
So far so good.
What is over here under the rose bush?
Ishi bitty footprints.
Chessie decided he wasn't letting the little guy have all the fun.
Never mind, not so much fun after all, silly little kit!
Hmmm, this white stuff is everywhere!
Well, time to take the first step.
Maybe.
And he blurrily forges ahead.
Does it taste good?
No lizards out right now.
In search of a tasty chickadee.
Glad I remembered my fur coat!
Just yesterday there were daffodils blooming around here.
Meanwhile, back on the porch. Chessie has seen a foot of snow in December 2009 and didn't want anything to do with that either. So a couple of inches isn't that big of a deal. Let's go back in!
Ishi took Chessie's advice after a bit of fun. He decided it was a lot warmer to sit in the upstairs window and watch it snow.
This snow stuff is tiring.
It's time for the young one's nap.
Too funny! I am with Ishi after his exploratory expedition. Had a medical procedure this morning, and am just happy to be back inside, safe at home snuggled up on and/or under a blanket. I think we may have had around four inches of snow here! Oh- and I'm very glad I didn't have to deal with it yesterday. Happy I was home and not at work when it was coming down so hard! Stay warm, T.!

This was such a cute post. Pretty kitties and I agree with them. Snow can be tiring. lol
ReplyDeleteawww, Ishi is so gorgeous and what an adventurer! :) glad he got that nap in to stay balanced. Chessie seems very patient about the whole thing. We enjoyed ourselves over here too!
ReplyDeleteAdorable, Tina! Kitty kats and their intro to snow can be so fun and funny. My Miss. Calico is three now and doesn’t romp & dig snow-caves like she did in he beginning. Like Cheshire Cat, she likes to check it out though. Out, under the eve where it’s dry for a while, in where it’s warm for a while, out for a while, in for a while.... I usually wear out before she does.
ReplyDelete“You’re gonna stay in now.”
“Meow!”
That first photo is gorgeous, Tina. Blue Ribbon!
So good to see you commenting here again, Heather.
love this - it is so funny to watch our pets checking new things out
