Another owl, in blue this time, and with him below are a couple of placemats in that gorgeous combination of blue and green:
I found a trio of blue Pyrex bowls, and another one of these vintage recipe boxes:
A blue bud vase - and my paper flowers that were truly meant to go inside:
Gratuitous flower close-up:
A table-setting featuring the color combo, from a thrifted cookbook:
A vintage napkin holder with a couple of cloth napkins, one patterned and one as abackground, in chartreuse:
May the blues of the sky and the ocean, and the green of the grass brighten your day today.
And may your owl always hold your toothpicks and never a splinter enter your gums. Huh? Thank you so much for coming and spending my birthday with me, I enjoyed it so much. I will try to find my 4H book for next time! Love T
ReplyDeleteYour posts are like nostalgia time for me. I lived though the 50's and 60's. I remember so much of what I see in your posts.
ReplyDeleteThat napkin holder? I know we had one just like it.
The pyrex bowls were a staple in my mom's kitchen.
Thanks for always reminding me how very old I am. LOL!!
Beautiful pics!!
ReplyDeleteI'm partial to the recipe box - I have four - my Mom's, grandmothers and mother in law's boxes - all full of recipes!!
