I just happened to be in the right place at the right time recently.
The day I found these quilt tops:
This is the prettiest one:
And then, I believe this one is my next favorite:
They aren't perfect, either, as most have a little spot or two ... or three.
Next choice for me would be this red checkerboard sort-of pattern
I don't really know their actual pattern names; I'm not a quilter - I just liked them:
I do not find this next one quite as appealing as the others I found:
But the price was right, so I picked it up, too:
And then, there's one more in red and white as well:
I like red and white:
But then, I pretty much like any colors, I suppose.
I'm pretty much a color freak.
"Too colorful", some might say (about some things - not necessarily these quilts, mind you..)??
But not me.
Nope - those two words, in that order, probably not even in my vocabulary.
If you saw my house, you'd know that it's true.
Lucky you. You have 1. hex diamonds and 2. a variation of Grandmother's Flower Garden. 3. Double Irish Chain (also traditionally worked in blue and white) 4. ?? 5. Hawaiian-type applique pattern.
ReplyDelete#4 reminds me of a little wall quilt I made for myself. Is it for sale? ~Mary in Placerville
I am totally jealous! Being a quilter, I am in constant search for quilt blocks, remnants and tops. I like to finish them so they are complete. I am working on a red/cream sampler now with a total kitsch backing (the Lord's Prayer panel with horse and numerous doves). It's awful (tongue in cheek).
ReplyDeleteAre you selling any of them? Any deals for a long-time follower of your blog? *fingers crossed*
Give me a holla at tvonzalez at gmail dot com
Mary, Thank you so much for the quilt pattern names!
ReplyDeleteI do not have your e-mail, so if you'd like to e-mail me, you can click on my name Heidi Ann on the right side of the blog to contact me), and we could discuss the quilt top. I am considering selling some of them, yes. I don't know whether you will even see this comment. But thank you again for the information.
Heidi, I sent you an mail yesterday. Did you receive it? ~Mary
