Do You Remember Famolare?

Here is an unused large peel-off sticker I saved that I'm sure came in the shoebox when I bought a pair of Famolares in the 70's.
Now this first pair of sandals, pictured below, were a thrift store find recently:
And here is an original pair of my own Famolare sandals I bought way back when:
And here's my other pair. I can still wear them, and they're pretty comfortable, too.

They made shoes they called "Get There", and "Hi There"- and probably some with other names that I don't recall. I liked the "Hi Theres" - because they made me taller!
Any of you out there in my age range? Did you have any Famolare shoes? Did you keep them?

  2. I am in your age range, but this is a new one on me. I don't recall ever hearing of this brand. I am amazed that your shoes are in such great condition and you can still wear them. Have a nice day! Twyla

  4. I still have my 4 pairs of Famolares. Loved them then, and love them now.

  5. Yes, I went to Humboldt State University in 1978 and my roomate had a pair that I just fell in love with. I saved my pennies and got my own pair for Christmas that year. They were the lower heeled, open toed variety with a ring over the toe area. I wish I still had them, but they were given away during a move. Thanks for the memory!
