More Belated Thank You(s)

I have been very lax in not having penned this note of thanks earlier! Last month, Deanna from Timeless Things honored me by naming me one of the recipients of her "Let's Be Friends" blog awards. That means a lot to me, because I have really enjoyed her comments, and I have to say that the people I have encountered since starting my blog have opened up a whole big wonderful new world to me that greatly enriches my time spent cozily here at home. I apologize for not passing it on like we are supposed to; I tried to explain my feelings about all of that in this post (although I have at least learned to do links since I wrote that!). I hope you understand, Deanna! Because, as one of my few readers who has commented regularly, you truly are important to me.
And Twyla and Lindsey over at Two Crazy Crafters sent me the sweetest surprises in the mail! A beautiful vintage Valentine card to add to my collection, and this adorable tag, made by Lindsey, featuring one of my favorite things: a Red Roofed Cottage!
Thank you so much ladies, having "met" you through our blogs is a source of great pleasure to me!
On a completely different subject - isn't it great to have nice neighbors? I locked myself out of the house yesterday when it was pouring rain (and I mean a DELUGE!), and my only choice was to go next door and ask if I could use their phone. While I was there, my sweet little neighbor girl drew me a picture! So sweet.
Thanks, guys!

  1. I agree your readers are great people, and all so thoughtful. I hope they understand your not doing all the tag things. I wouldn't be able to do that either, with my old computer I have enough going on just reading and sometimes commenting on the web sites I go on. The tag from Lindsey is just the cutest thing I've seen for a long time. We had the same deluge yesterday and you were lucky to be able to even make it to your neighbors house! It was coming in sideways on the west of our house and I thought it was going to break the window by the front door! I am glad though that you got to visit and get your adorable picture of the two little blond girls (you and her). Love T

  3. Hi sweetie!

Thanks for stopping by the Yaya! And the item that you saw was actually a late 1800's school book carrier. Isn't it great?!

I look forward to getting to know you and hope you stop by again!
