I was looking through a bunch of pictures, and I found some cute ones of Dizzy. Considering how much I love that kitty, I don't write about him nearly enough! Here he is on the shelf outside the window above the kitchen sink. He knows that if we are in the kitchen, we will see him if he jumps up there - and we will go and let him in!
This is one of his favorite perches. He really isn't allowed on tables, but he loves sitting there like this so much that we let him. Sometimes he sleeps sort of hunched over at the table, but mostly he is there to look out His Window. Yes, he is spoiled. And your point is?
And, other times, he just curls up on His Red Stool and takes a nap!
"Hey - don't take my picture- the flash disturbs my pretty green eyes!" The chair he is lying on was one of my very first antique purchases 30 years ago. I still love it:
One more pensive pose - in another window; this one is in the den:
And one more - at the same window as in the top picture- but more recently, and in a different position!
He does love his windows- and he has a lot of choices in this house!
He is definitely one completely adored Kitty Cat.
i only know of dizzy thru our conversations at work an on your blog - but i am in love. so adorable and often i cannot catch the 'spirit' of my kitties on film but dizzy comes right thru the camera and lets us in. what a lucky cat and lucky heidi!
ReplyDeleteLooks like in the last picture, you were obviously not in the kitchen to see him and let him in, so he got worn out waiting and decided to take a nap. Your Dizzy is such a loving little kitty. His cousins Cheshire Cat and Luna say hi, even though if they met each other they would have a little more to say than that, kinda like "Hissssspitttyeoouullllll..." Love T
ReplyDeleteDizzy is indeed a very handsome and lucky cat! Rambo and Layla agree too. Love, Deb
ReplyDeleteDizzy is such a sweet kitty, he deserves to be spoiled! He's smart, too! I enjoyed seeing your precious kitty. Have a nice day! Twyla
ReplyDeleteheidi - thought i would let you know that when we had to put max down the vet gave us a gift cert to a local nursery so we could plant something in his honor. well to day john got (i hope i get this right) a red twig dogwood bush (not the trees as in yosemite). during the winter we will have some red to see and in the spring it will flower. max would always lay by this one patch of wild catnip in the yard so we planted it on his spot. oh - i will send you the plates sometime - you know how i can be (or not be).....
ReplyDeleteOh, Faith- that's a wonderful idea for a remembrance of Max. My sister Tina has done the same kind of thing for her beloved pets. What a nice thing for a veterinarian to do!
ReplyDeleteDizzy IZZ really cute, izzn't he?! My favorite shot is the one of him sitting at the kitchen table, like he's waiting to be served. But they're ALL adorable!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to do a post about our late cat, Henry. And I think that I WILL do just that! Thanks for the inspiration!
I do love that picture of Dizzy on the table. I love my cats so much I let them pretty much do anything, too. (Well, some limits. But not many!)
