Today would have been our Mother's 78th birthday, so my post today is dedicated to her memory.
This playful picture was taken on January 23rd, 1949 - sixty years ago! :
And this one is from Christmas Day, 1974. I'm pretty sure she was making gravy. She was a fabulous cook.
I kind of like that tunic or jumper she has on!
Happy Birthday, Mother. You are remembered with love.
Memories of mothers are memories forever. Happy Birthday Gold Country Girls Mom.
ReplyDeleteHeidi Ann,
ReplyDeleteYour Mom looked like she definitely enjoyed herself in life. May she rest in peace. Thanks for sharing your photos of her. My Mom's birthday is in the month of January also. I too, will be paying tribute to her on my blog in a few weeks.

I love to see that she has our Christmas wreath pin on! I loved her gravy (and of course her mashed potatoes). My favorite photo of her is the one at our wedding with the bouquet on her head. So cute. I am glad you remembered her on your blog. Love T
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of her in the snow! How happy. You can't help but smile when you look at that. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Heidi's sweet mom!
Happy Birthday to you Mother! She was very smart and a great artist and had beautiful teeth with a great smile!! Hey, maybe my crafty side came from her! Love to her and Daddy!! Lori
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Joyce! Heidi, I love that picture in the snow as well. And the picture where she's cooking is exactly how she lives on in my mind! She certainly was a great mother and instilled some wonderful traits in her daughters. One of them (among many) is the strong, loving bond her daughters have always shared.
ReplyDeleteAw, so sweet, Heidi! I should do the same for my mom.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so happy in those photos. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful memories. Beautiful mom. Happy Birthday to her.
ReplyDeleteAnd hello to you. I have not stopped by in ages and hope you are doing well.

Kim
