My Aluminum Tumblers and Such

Over the years, I have managed to amass a nice collection of these. They are just so pretty in all of their lovely colors! All but one of the tumblers are marked Bascal, the coasters have no marking, the pitcher is marked "Flamingo by Nasco Italy":
The little "shot glasses" (how cute are they?) are marked "Made in Germany", and I just found the two trays recently at a thrift shop - they appear to be new.

They sure do look nice all together like this, don't they? Come on over for a nice icy cold cup full of SOMETHING - I've got plenty of tumblers!

  1. I have So many memories of these from childhood, but my mother never had a set. One time in elementary school we made ice cream in these tumblers. I guess because they hold the cold so well. I can't remember all the details, but it was so much fun shaking these tumblers and eatting ice cream out of them! Twyla

  2. I remember when my Mom bought a set of these. It kind of felt like our house was becoming the "House of the Future". Very cool!

  5. Oh my gosh..I don't think milk will ever taste as good as it did as a kid out of these cups. My auntie had them at her house....they're so cute!

Nasco is the same company who made many tole trays. I had no idea they made the aluminum cups as well. Just goes to show 'ya....there's something new to learn every day.
