Thrifting Again - Well, Always...

Just here to show you some more thrift finds today. First up, a pretty vintage painted tray:

A pair of green glass canisters, a great fairy tale book, a neat aluminum cookie "jar" - it's an orange, but I may pretend it's a pumpkin for Halloween, and, oh...yes, that's another mug tree back there:

A wooden cubbyhole shelf (turned on it's side) that I think I will paint, a really nice set of "Fire King for Sunbeam" mixing bowls from an old stand mixer, a little yellow chair for my dollhouse, some pretty vintage Hallmark note cards, and a nice woven placemat:

I finally found myself one of these old sewing caddies. Well, actually I'm still trying to decided whether to keep or sell it! I really like it, so I may not let it go:

And I don't even know what this thing is. It's 68 inches long with fringed edges and woven in magenta, black and orange and I just thought it was cool:
A gorgeous vintage frame, an owl pendant, china napkin rings, and a Gunne Sax pattern for a girls skirt similar to the one I showed on Penny in this post:

And I got this duster at a stuff-a-bag sale where I managed to fit about $18 worth of priced items into my $5 bag:
I need to replace the buttons because a couple are missing, but I think I can do that. I probably even have some stashed away somewhere that will work. I like it, and I think I'll be wearing it this fall:

That's it for today.
Until next time.....

  2. You always find the neatest things! I don't know what the 'blanket' is. It looks very artistic though. Love the duster. I used to always use one of those needlecraft stands to hold my knitting, but I've far outgrown that:( I hope you have a nice weekend! Twyla

  3. Ooh, such delicious finds! That textile runner is so pretty. I'm always tempted to make all my textile finds into pillows. My favorites are the little cubby shelf and that cute tiny chair.
