When I saw it, it reminded me of this pattern Lori had when we were in high school. (I know the two aren't really all that similar , but what can I say? It just brought to mind this other dress) Lori found the pattern when she was moving, and she let me borrow it to use it in this post.
I don't remember if she ever even made a dress with the pattern, but it is VERY similar in style to the dress I am wearing in this photo, below. Lori graduated the same year as my boyfriend, and the dress wasn't mine, it belonged to my friend Debbie. You may or may not remember I wrote about her having borrowed one of my Gunne Sax dresses back in this post. 
I wish it was a better photo, the dress fabric was a lightweight knit in yellow with little flowers, and I loved it. I remember being so happy that Debbie let me wear it that night!

Just love the photo of you guys at graduation. All the dresses are great. I just got a vintage pattern for a summer dress on ebay that I would like to make out of a light cotton. I am still working on an apron I was going to make before Christmas though, so don't get your hopes up. ;-)

Somethings never change. These dresses are very similar. The bodice cut is a little different. The 30's dress doesn't have a bow in the back but they are quite similar. Charming!
