A Beautiful Baby Quilt Top

Today, I just wanted to share a few photos of a beautiful baby quilt top that is for sale at Mountain Treasures here in Sonora.
(At least, it was still there a few days ago - I'm not sure about today!)
 Another vendor brought it into their booth.
 I've never seen anything quite like it.

I'm sorry, I only got one shot that sort of shows the whole thing. It was hanging up, and I did my best:

The price tag is/was $40.00, and I just happen to think it's truly a lovely vintage patchwork piece. Even it it was not finished and made into a quilt, it would be precious hanging on a nursery wall!

Back To Mountain Treasures

The Gold Country Girls are back in business at Mountain Treasures in Sonora!
I wrote a post a few months ago about how the shop I had been renting space at in Jamestown had changed owners.

 Well, that didn't end up working out.

 So I have been incredibly busy moving out of one shop and into another.
We are happy to be back at Mountain Treasures. Lana and Larry Busby, the owners, are really nice people, and there are 40 vendors in the shop with a wide variety of merchandise. It's a wonderful store to browse in, even if you aren't looking for anything specific. I truly do believe there is something for everyone in there!
The only reason I left there was because Jamestown is more of a tourist destination, with a Main Street that has antiques shops, restaurants and hotels, and Railtown 1897 State Park right up the road. My items did sell pretty well there.
 Having to move out unexpectedly, and as quickly as possible (for a variety of reasons) was very difficult. I'm not going to go into it here.
It meant downsizing, and I'm still reeling from my attempts to find places to store everything that wouldn't fit.

 In the photo above, you can see many of Lori's great cards, calendars, altered clothespin magnets,  and notepads.
 Believe me, I fit as much as I possibly could into this new booth space!

 As soon as Tina gets over here with HER stuff, it will be changing!

 I'm kind of worn out, to be honest.

 This move has taken quite a toll on me.

 But I'll live.
Live and learn, right?
I've lived enough years now to know that THAT is surely true, believe me.
I created some little book stacks using some of my Reader's Digest Condensed Books.
I like the way they turned out - they are meant to be purely decorative:

 The ribbon and embellishments are all vintage; my little butterflies and leaves were all found years ago at a local estate sale from a long-time florist here in town:

Oh, and I'm going to try my best to get back to posting more often!

Ash B., A New Shop Owner In Jamestown

The brick and mortar shop where I sell my wares in Jamestown, California (formerly A Flowers), has a new name and a new owner.
Ashley Beighley - the daughter of the previous owner - has taken over, and has renamed the shop "Ash B."

The shop is located at 18190 Main Street, and I just thought I'd share a few photos I took a while back with you today.

(I need to get some pictures inside, too, I guess.)
 The shop is in an old house built back in the 1800's.

Lori is selling some of her handmade items there, too!
You can see some of them in the picture below, along with some of my greeting cards I make with antique postcards:

Photos Of My Booth

I don't have a real big space at the shop I'm in now, (A. Flowers  at 18190 Main Street in Jamestown, California), and I wish I had more room for another table, but since I don't, I try to make my lone tabletop at least reflect the season as much as possible.
This is the way it looked when I left after my work day the first week of November:

And then when I went in last week, I wanted to put Christmas stuff in - so I changed it up again:

 I like this sparkly stuff on the table top - I couldn't get a good photo with the lamp switched on, though -
 there was too much glare, so here's one without:

Put To Good Use

I found this wooden quilt rack at a thrift store last week.

It didn't look too great, but I brought it home and painted it white:

And then I took it down to the shop where I rent a space, and I put it to good use, as you can see below:

I do have some vintage quilts that I am thinking about selling, but for now it holds an assortment of linens that were previously housed in a drawer.
 Now they are visible to shoppers.

When I was taking pictures of it, I also got a few other snapshots of my displays and shelves, showing many of the items I have for sale:

I don't do a lot of painting, and whenever I get a project finished, it feels really good, you know.
And when I tell you that I slapped a coat of white paint on that display rack, I mean it quite literally!
I'm not the best painter in the world, but it'll do.
It's serving it's purpose, and it looks better than it did when I found it!

A Change Of Scene

I have a little announcement of sorts today.
I am moving into a new space at a shop in Jamestown, California.

I have only started to move in; I have much more to do!

The owner does a lovely job of displaying all of her beautiful wares, ( as seen in the following four photos - but there is much more!):

She makes jewelry and also fabulous paper crafts, tags, cards, etc.

These adorable birdhouses are also offered for sale:

I am loving these gorgeous wooden flowers she has, also!

Didn't Have One Of These......

I picked up this vintage office stamp at a thrift store last week:

I even had a cute little wooden rack already (also a thrift find, of course!) to put it in:

I love the idea of using it to stamp my price tags for our booth at the shop!
