Ring O' Roses, A Nursery Rhyme Picture Book

Lori here, with another one of the beautifully illustrated books that were collected by our Mother. This one was illustrated by the fabulous L. Leslie Brooke:
We have Little Miss Muffet:
This little (!?) piggy went to market.....

Jack and Jill:

Little Bo Peep:

And Wee Willie Winkie:

Aren't the illustrations wonderful?
We love vintage children's books here at Gold Country Girls.

So charming. Looks like the 1930's. It conveys a childlike innocence that no "modern" childrens book can, as far as I know.

Miss Muffet definitely looks like she is not going to share with that spider! You go girl! Great illustrations. Like I said before, our Mom had great collecting taste. Love T

Such sweet illustrations. What a wonderful book, in such good shape. This is a collection that doesn't take up a lot of space and can be handed down through the generations.
Nice post!
