Celebrity Homes In Palm Springs

I was going through my stash of postcards, and I found these. Nearly all of these were sent home (to their boys) by my in-laws when they had taken trips to Palm Springs in the late 1960's and early 1970's. First up - Frank Sinatra - the top one is postmarked 1969, and the other 1971. I am not even sure whether it's the same place:
I got a kick out of this one. Dated 1969, here is what is written on the back "Hi. This is the big house on the hill we saw be built a few years ago & last year it was for sale. Now see who owns it! It's real big and pretty. This really only shows one small side."
Bob Hope's home, postmarked Feb. 20, 1967. On the back "It is nice here but only about 62 degrees. Very crowded, and every place "No Vacancy."
The beautiful Dinah Shore's Palm Springs home, postmarked 1969:
Two different postcards for Liberace. I gather that the one on the bottom is the second one he moved into , as it is dated 1971 - and my husband thinks that's a '68 (or so) Camaro in the driveway of the other:
And here we have The Palm Springs home of the lovely Alice Faye and her talented husband Phil Harris - whom, in case you didn't know or remember, was the voice of some of our favorite Disney characters, namely Baloo in "The Jungle Book", Thomas O'Malley in "The Aristocats", and Little John in "Robin Hood":

That's it for today's celebrity home tour!
It seems they were mostly all about the pools, doesn't it?

Neatooo postcards!! My first husbands mom had a Camaro similar to the one in the driveway. I used to drive it some. I remember it had a lot of 'get up and go'!!!!

Very interesting. I haven't been to Palm Springs in a long long while. I bet the homes are much more oppulent now than the ones shown in these postcards. I found the Elvis home info fascinating. Love T

Very fun! I have an older set
(1940's) of star's Hollywood homes. It does seem they all loved their pools!
