A Few More Finds

Just popping in to share a few more of my recent thrift store finds - a pretty strawberry tray:
A vintage card, an Archie comic book, and the game of Perquackey:
I was not at all familiar with Perquackey , but here it is:

Found an "Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass" LP I didn't have yet, two Fire King mugs, and two pretty soup mug/bowls:
A Rolling Stones LP sleeve (no record):
A nice food chopper in aqua, and some books:

I always get magazine holders when I find them (if you're anything like me, you can never have TOO many!), and older copies of Victoria magazine seem to sell fairly well in the shop:
And just one more thing - a great vintage Bucilla Christmas tree skirt kit, so cute with deer and a "Holly Girl"!

Perquakery looks something like Boggle. I used to love to play Boggle. Let's make some mulled wine and popcorn and get shakin'. Great finds. I haven't been out scrounging like I used to, but that is because I have so much stuff already and too little money, still paying for my hip! Love T

Love Herb Albert - you scored a good find there. I liked post about your dad the other day, that was a very sweet memorial to him.

Of course, the real prize is an LP cover of SOME GIRLS that doesn't have the faces covered up (they include Raquel Welch and Lucille Ball). Same thing with an original SGT. PEPPER album.

I wonder if Perquacky got its name changed to "Spill and Spell" for awhile. The contents of the box look just like the game I got for Christmas around 1970. The letter cubes weren't on a grid like Boggle, so they could be rearranged to make words. You made as many as you could, using each letter just once. The score was the square of the number of letters in each word. I still enjoy playing a solitaire version of Spill and Spell!
