July in the foothills is bathing suit weather - so here are a few, courtesy of Seventeen Magazine, circa 1973.
First up, from J.C. Penney:
The next three were from Sears:
White Stag:
From Robby Len:
And a couple more, below - the red one is Maidenform, and the cherries print, from Catalina:
Stay cool - and , if you're lucky enough to have a pool, take a little dip for me, won't you?

I love the cherry suit. My best bathing suit was custom made in Manhattan Beach at a little shop in the late 60s. I wore it for a long, long time. I remembered it because it was hard to get a top and bottom bought together to both fit well. Hope you find your swimming hole. Love T
I did get to swim yesterday, finally, at a friends, felt so good!!!!! So dang hot out there right now!!!!
I sure wish I had a swimming pool. This is the weather for one.
In the summer of 1973, i had just given birth to a baby boy and I was in no shape to wear my bathing suit. I remember working out really hard so I could get into my old suit. I did, but the summer was over by then.
These ads make me remember how skinny I really was back them. Alas... no more.
