In a previous post, I showed you
my collection of the smaller format spiral bound cookbooks from Betty Crocker. Today's post is about the larger books which were published later. (These measure 8 & 1/2 by 10). The New Boys and Girls Cookbook, 1965:

Dinner In a Dish, 1965:

The Hostess Cookbook, 1967:

Family Dinners In A Hurry, 1970:

and The Do-Ahead Cookbook, 1974:

I just love these vintage cookbooks. There are at least 7 more in this format that I haven't yet managed to find. I'm still looking...... I'm always looking...

Now you know my weakness for cookbooks, I have hundreds!!
I have The Cooky Book by Betty Crocker [1963], let's find you one!!
I love all kids cookbooks, and have several I've collected over the years, including the 1965 one you show. The stir fry on the cover of the "in a hurry" ckbk sure looks tasty, and I think I will have to try to find the "do-ahead", it looks very interesting. As usual, this is making me hungry, so I am going to go eat the leftovers I brought home from the Miner's Ball which I worked at last night: fresh fruit and vegies, etc. I love the perks of working an event! (Plus it was fun too). Love T
I think I've seen each of these books except the blue Hostess Cookbook. Now I want That one! I'm also curious about the others in this format. Twyla
My sister had that top one as a kid and fancied herself quite the gourmet. I love these old cookbooks but wonder at sooooooo many recipes with cream of mushroom soup. What a treasure you've amassed.
