Summer Fun From '71

I'm at it again, with more of my "found" old clothing! This time it's a top and shorts from 1971. This tank top was one of my VERY favorite things back then (as you may have surmised from the fact that I saved it all of these years).

Quite honestly, it still looks brand spanking new. I take good care of my clothes. (Man, it's hard for me to believe I was EVER small enough to wear this pair!)

Like I said, I loved it. And I didn't wear it only in the summer, I also wore it over a long-sleeved shirt in the fall.
There's even a picture of me in the yearbook wearing it - see below:

And white denim shorts - "Sears Rider":
As silly as it may seem, I think one of my favorite things about this top is the fact that it has such a cute label - I mean, come on!
"Funky & Groovy Threads".
What's not to love?
Here's a close-up image of a label that is just like mine:

Funky & Groovy - can 'ya dig it?
Be cool, dude. Be cool.
Yeah - and stay cool,
if you possibly can.
