Vintage Needlepoint Birds

I found this large (20 X 20") 70's vintage needlepoint picture at a thrift store in Angel's Camp, and I just couldn't leave it there. I think I heard it calling out to me - or chirping at me, perhaps - I can't be sure:

And after I got home, I was looking through my old McCall's Needlework and Crafts magazines, and I found the same design - as a pillow:
I hadn't ever heard of the William Unger Company before - have you?

Kind of cool though, huh?
