Kids In The Kitchen

Looks like Mother, above is getting ready for Cupcake Week next week on Martha! And below, with Mom's help, the kids are mixing up something special. Check out those matching aprons on Mom and Sis!

But little Shirley Temple is baking all by herself!

I wish I had everything in all of those kitchens.

I am thinking maybe the brother and sister (I hope the brother is careful since he doesn't have an apron) might be making pudding. YUM! I love it in all its flavors. Remember making pudding and the dark brown skin on top and the lovely more milky brown underneath and it was warm and so good. Last time I had the granddaughters overnight we made gingerbread from scratch. I had discovered I had no shortening in the house, and the son brought some he had in his cupboard that I think was about 3 years old. I did use it but threw the rest away afterward. It was still good gingerbread. Sometimes you just have to take a chance! P.S. I love this post so much I want to eat it. Love T

I want to bake to!
I know what you mean about the kitchens - I love looking at old pictures and advertisements and 'picking out' what I want.

The apron Shirley is wearing is adorable. I love that these frilly styles are becoming so popular again.
