Pretty Little Doll Dresses

At my old job one day, we got to talking about vintage Barbies, dolls we grew up with, etc. A woman I worked with said she had an old doll and case that she didn't really care about. I got excited, and said that maybe I could buy it from her, if she was willing to sell. She was, and I paid her a fair price for the lot which included a Midge doll and case, and assorted clothing and accessories inside. To my delight, there were even some Betsy McCall items in there! The four dresses made to fit Barbie or Midge that I'm showing you here today were, I think, made by her mom or grandmother.

You can bet that if I had vintage handmade doll clothes from my childhood that were as sweet as these, I would NEVER have parted with them!

Aren't they lovely?

What lovely little dresses. The lady was a very good seamstress. I also enjoyed your choices of background materials for the outfits. Love T
