Yes, it's all about dads today, so I want to wish a very happy Father's Day to my husband, and my two stepsons who have young boys (and another on the way!), and to the Gold Country Girls beloved Daddy, whom we have missed every day since he passed away in 1977:
And my father-in-law, whom we have mourned also, since he passed away in 1999 (shown here in this photo taken in front of our local high school, in the early 30's):
And may I also take this opportunity to wish all of the other wonderful fathers out there a great day, as well!

Happy Father's Day to all the Daddys out there in blog land. I am making spareribs today with a recipe from the 1940s out of an old Diamond Springs cookbook. That seemed like a good Father's Day dinner to me for some reason. Love T
Thank you very much for the very nice Father's Day post. From a Blogland Daddy. Much appreciated, Richard.
Yes, Happy Father's Day to all!!!!
i did not realize that we lost our fathers the same year. not a day goes by that i don't think of him. love the photos of your dad and your father in law.
Being a good Dad takes effort and perseverance..., and love. We, who had this kind of father are very fortunate. It's a day to remember that.
Here's to all the Fathers out there who are trying their very best.
