When I was 13 years old, I wanted one of these wicker chairs to hang in my room.
Here's proof: This is an excerpt from a journal I wrote the summer before I started high school:
I never got one, but I REALLY wanted it:
That was back when I used to dream about how I would fix up my room if I had money to spend on furnishings.
We didn't have the money for new furniture in the main parts of the house, so there sure as hell wasn't any for my room!But a girl could always dream.....
....and I did that a LOT.

i always wanted a hanging wicker chair too!!! i was a dreamer also - big time.
I remember these, but I never saw one in person, only in magazines. They would have been so neat. I think it's awesome that you had your journal with that description of what you wanted for your room! I always wanted an eterger too. I wish you could get a hanging wicker chair now! Keep dreaming! Although I grew up in the early '90s I also wished for a hanging chair like that (a plastic one with an orange cushion and metal chain). We used to watch a lot of 'classic' TV so I probably spied it in a '60s show. Sadly never got the chair and even if I spotted one today I would be too afraid to attach it to my apartment ceiling!
