Always Thrifting....

Just sharing a few more of my recent finds - this sweet little duck, a Roselane Sparkler, and the white and aqua restaurant china saucer behind him:

Glass pitcher and eight chimney glasses, just perfect for your summer drinks (all were half price at Salvation Army):

An huge robin's egg blue metal serving tray, vintage bark cloth pieces, an hand-painted plate, plus a crocheted doily and potholder:

Autumn colors in this group: tablecloth, a set of six ironstone dinner plates, a spice rack, and one of the little Hallmark books I love:

And an old frame, one of those heavy brass-tone metal ones, into which I promptly placed an old 30's magazine clipping photo of the debonair and dashing Robert Montgomery (father of Elizabeth!)
That's it for today; I'll leave you with that handsome fellow.

Love that little duck, is he ceramic? Great finds. I love thrifting but I am trying to control myself and although I find neat stuff I don't have anywhere to put it anymore so I have been trying to tone it down a little (just a little LOL), such as I would havfe let the glasses, pitcher and plates go. Love your little Hallmark book, china saucer and Robert Montgomery. Love T

Love that duck and the little plate behind it.
Oh, Robert Montgomery. He was so handsome and a very good actor.
Funny that you should mention his daughter Elizabeth, so that people would know who he was, when he was far more popular and made way more films than she did.I guess when you play a popular "witch" on TV it's what people remember more.
Anyway, that was the perfect photo for that frame...

Love these - esp the barkcloth (hey! I learned a new word) and ironstone ones.
Thanks for posting your finds.
