Good old Reddi-Wip has been around for quite awhile. I believe this advertisement is from the 50's:

I found this picture in a book:

An ad from 1981:

And another from 2005:

And now, of course, they have THIS:

I was THRILLED when they came out with a fat free version! I had been wishing and hoping for it - how did they know? I make a point of trying to have some in the refrigerator at all times. I don't care much for Cool Whip in any of it's forms - although I'm not averse to using it in a recipe.
Nope - give me good old real cream (Fat Free) Reddi-wip!

I am happy about fat free Reddi-wip too! Although I do like Cool Whip. Great post. Love T
My favorite dessert right now is some cut up fresh strawberries with a pile of fat free Reddi-wip to dip into. Yum!!
I didn't realize Reddi-whip had been around so long. I'll have to look for the fat-free version! Twyla
Ok, isn't it a contradiction to have "cream" and "fat-free" in the same sentence? Isn't it "cream" because of the fat? I am con-fus-ed.
You know, Kari - I don't know about that! I only know that it says Real Cream on the can, and it's Fat Free and it's GOOD! By the way - I have been missing you! Especially since two years ago this weekend, Lori and I were on our way up there to see you - and I wish I was coming again!
i did not know about the fat free version - it is a must buy!
