Thrift Finds - From Lori

Thrifting is our favorite pastime. Also yard/garage sales, but not in the winter. I remember that Mother used to say she would take a $20 bill on the weekend and go to her favorite thrifts to see what she could find. I'm not so sure it's an inherited trait, but we all three love it!!!
Some of my recent finds: this adorable lamb, a Joan Walsh Anglund ballerina figurine (these may end up on a shelf in baby Addisons room), and a rocking horse baby planter. I have an idea for something to make with these types of planters and want to collect more. I'll show you when I get them done:

Two cute Santa bells, a vintage blue child's hanger, and the cutest little book, also by Joan Walsh Anglund (she's another of our favorite artists):

Small oak leaf and acorn trays and a set beautiful floral coasters:

A Jr. Slinky (remember these?), two flower frogs, and some wonderful flocked Christmas tags that Heidi is very envious of!!!

Two nice heavy stoneware pink picture frames - I may frame vintage children prints in these for new grand daughter's room - an embroidered dresser scarf, and a pretty toothbrush holder:

A few vintage baby cards:

Child's jumper made with vintage fabric on a wire hanger:

This glass Christmas candle holder has the nicest scenes on it. I put a red candle inside so you could see some of the scene:

Great finds!! Checking once or twice a month at my nearby favorite thrifts, you never know what you might find!!! So fun!!!

If I'd been standing next to you in the thrift and you got those flocked tags and the Slinky first, I'd have had a hard time hiding my disappointment. I'd have watched you out of the corner of my eye to see if you put them back. LOL And don't you just love how they put the price right on the package in magic marker? Arghhh. It's OK if it's for us to use, but when you want to resell something... bleah.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! It's good to meet you!

I love those oak leaf and acorn trays! I'll trade you something for them. LOL. Great finds. The little lamb, vintage hanger and and the child's jumper in vintage fabric are also pretty darn cool. Good job thrifting sis! Love T
