Kris Kringle's Kahlua

Well, I've had a White Russian or two (or more) in my day. When I first turned 21, that was probably my main "drink of choice" - I've never liked hard liquor much, but I have always enjoyed liqueurs. So, while it may have been favored by some as an after dinner drink, I would order it whenever, Back then, I wasn't terribly concerned about calories - as I SHOULD be now. We do have a bottle of Kahlua in our cupboard , and I think and hope it lasts a pretty long time, because it's just not something I drink very often. And yet - I like having some on hand.
Go figure.

So it may come as a surprise to you that when I saw THIS in the store, I couldn't resist buying a bottle! We've had it for weeks, and it isn't opened yet (like I said - I don't have a drink too often), but I AM planning to break into it sometime this holiday season!

And I'm really looking forward to it, too!

Well you just better make sure I'm there when you crack that baby! I used to make a mean Kahlua when I lived in Alaska. It was very simple as I recall. We made it with Everclear or Vodka, very strong brewed coffee, sugar and a whole vanilla bean. I'd put it in gift baskets with coffee and chocolate, when I had the coffee store. Oh yum, thanks for stirring up the memories Heidi!

I love Kahlua!!! My favorite drink with it is when we used to camp I would put a shot in our morning campfire coffee, Sooo good!!! I have a different shaped bottle that I brought home from Mexico a few years back, still half full, shows you how much I drink!!

Sounds very yummy. I am not real fond of sweet alcoholic drinks, but at the holidays it is a little different. Sounds really good. I would like it if they made a mint chocolate one too! Love T
