The Fabulous Irving Berlin

The incomparably talented and prolific Irving Berlin was born on this date in 1888. My meager words cannot even express how much I love his music.
These are just a few examples of sheet music from my collection featuring some of his songs that I love:
Sometimes, I actually feel that I have known his music my entire life. Maybe I also knew it in a previous life? It is a part of me::
He lived to the ripe old age of 101, and we were ever so lucky to have him.
Mr. Berlin - I will

....you and your beautiful music.

Hello Heidi ...
I, too, love the Berlin songs. My favorite is a little known one, "For the Very First Time." I know of only two recordings and I have spent countless hours on the 'net trying to find anyone who has even heard it. Also trying the replace the sheet music that I lost. No luck so far except in some pretty expensive song books. Do you know the song? It's gorgeous. Wonderful lyrics .."For the very first time there won't be a next time, I've fallen in love with you." Isn't that superb poetry?
