The Peacock Chair

I did another post a while back about the hanging wicker chair I always wanted when I was a teenager. The only wicker furniture I have ever had is the set that's out on our patio - which isn't really anything special - but I have also always loved the design of the peacock chair:
They have a very regal look, don't they? I found some lovely examples online, too, but they are a little out of my price range!
And I don't have a place to put one, anyway. (Here's another one I found.)
Do you remember the great Uncola 7up commercials that starred Geoffrey Holder? He was sitting in one of these chairs in my favorite one.
"These are cola nuts..."
HaHaHaHaHaHa!

A lady always looks lovely while sitting in a peacock chair, and barkcloth makes great pillows for one. Enjoyed this post. Love T

Wouldn't you love to jump inside the first picture? I can feel that warm tropical breeze. Lusciousness.

Oh girl, I was in love with that chair when I was a newlywed. I saved my money and found it somewhere. (can't remember...Pier 1 maybe?) I made green checked cushions and orange gingham accessories in the room it resided in. I had this crazy orange geranium and fern hanging basket wallpaper that came with the house. It was 1980 and life was good...all avocado green and orange. this brought back so many memories. I had a wicker elephant sidetable bought by my late husband. aaaahhhh....memory lane...thank you for the little trip.
