Betsy McCall ( Yes, Again)

Yes, more about Betsy. Because I found some more pages featuring her in some old McCall's Make-It magazines. So I took some more pictures of my dolls to share, as well.
How can you resist her sweet and adorable face?
She's modeling clothing you could knit at home. And you could even make Nosey the dog!
Just look at her little outfits. Do you see that sweater with the fringe trim? I love it.
I had to try to enlarge this picture which was on the cover, because it was in color, and showed the little oufits made up:
Gratuitous cute pictures of my beloved Betsys.

Come on - I mean, really!! How CUTE is she?

I have a high tolerance for cute, so bring it on. Your Betsys are so cute. I love the magazine pictures too. My mother in law has a fondness for Betsy and I bought her one on ebay a few years ago. I would love to have my own collection. Twyla

I couldn't wait to cut out the Betsy McCall paper doll from my sister's magazines! The same sister who had the Purple Onion album. How wonderful to have big sisters!

Awww...I just want to reach into the screen, pull her out and play dolls! I love that fringed sweater!

I have a favorite doll that I had in my childhood. Alas, I don't have her anymore but I'm on the huntdown for her on ebay. Her name is Velvet from the Ideal toy company. She had a dial on her back and her hair would either go in, or come out of the top of her head. I always seem to get outbid for her on ebay but I know she is waiting for me out there!

Thanks for that great post!
