It's Daddy's birthday again, and since I love remembering him I just felt like posting a few pictures. Here he is with his little sister, our beloved Aunt Lyn, in 1929. She lives in Wisconsin, and we haven't gotten to see her since 2001. I wish they weren't so far away!:
And with Pop (that's what we always called our grandfather, and his mom was "Grandma Mom" to us) in 1934:
And here he is in the 70's with our stepmother and my oldest sister, Tina.
Tina made her dress- it's really pretty, with handmade patchwork making up the halter top. She still has it!

Happy birthday to your dad, Heidi! I miss the old days when we used to walk downtown and meet him at Dillinger's! Love, Deb
Sorry to take so long to comment on Daddy's birthday but we had snow and more computer problems. Of course I thought about Daddy all day, and there were several serendipity-like things that kept calling him to mind. Anyway, the dress also has a wide border at the bottom with the patchwork. I love that dress, except I wish I had something other than kettlecloth for the middle, I never really liked that fabric. Oh, and one more thing. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew we called him Grandpa Pop, not just Pop. I still think Pop and Mom are just the cutest thing to call your parents. Love T
