Lovely To Look At

I walked into the thrift store that is practically across the street from where I work. And, what do you suppose I found sitting there on the floor?
This gorgeous deco-style deer, that's what! Twenty-one inches tall, and in perfect condition. Not vintage, but I am sure that whenever and wherever it was first sold, it did not come cheap.

My price? Three dollars.
Come on, you didn't really think somebody who has a huge deer collection would leave this huge deer sitting there on the thrift store floor, did you?
Didn't think so.

I think that piece might be a little older than yougive it credit for! It looks like a Royal Hagar pottery piece, and it is actually an "Impala" not a dear :)

Oh my gosh! Great find!!! Those sell for around $150 or more.

Well, I Googled “impala,” got myself entranced into following ideological guessings about unicorns, saw my first photo of rainbowed unicorn poop, learned that only a virgin can tame a unicorn, and decided it prudent to stop before broaching query into Gold Country Girls and miracles.

So, hot weather we’re having, eh?

It looks vintage to me too. No markings on the bottom??
