What's Penny Wearing? #77 A Stunning 60's Tunic or Mini-Dress

I found this fabulous vintage mini-dress or tunic at one of my favorite thrift stores here in town.
Are these called "bat-wing" sleeves? I am not sure, but they are cool:
There are no tags and no label inside, but I am reasonably sure it is cotton, and it appears unworn:
Perfect condition, and the colors are gorgeous:
I really think it's stunning:

And I thought this was really neat - just a week after I purchased it, I found the advertisement below in the back of a 1969 Seventeen Magazine that I had just gotten. VERY similar to mine - what a wonderfully serendipitous find:
Total vintage awesomeness.

I would say that is the exact same tunic.
I would so love to see more of any 1969 Seventeen magazines. (year I graduated from high school)

Did you find it at Good Stuff?? It looks an awful lot like the one that was hanging in my closet a few weeks ago prior to our move. I love it on Penny!

Robert - Sorcerer sleeves! I like that better - and I thank you for the information.
Jamie - Are you kidding me? I think I need to have a look in your closet, girlfriend! Yes - I did get it at Good Stuff - cannot believe it was yours - and that you gave it away! I think it's freaking fabulous.

That's what happens when you move....you haul great things to the thrift store and then regret it later. I'm glad you found the top. It's too small for me. I wish I could have given it directly to you but at least the money is going to the Watch program.

This is beautiful. It reminds me of the serape-like shawl a very young Tina is wearing in a photo elsewhere on GC Girls. I macramed a colorful belt for a girlfriend in the early 1970s. She was thrilled. I was thrilled with the colors we wore in the mid to late 1960s & 1970s. Loved, and still love, the music too. Fun. Jim J;0)

Would a woman wear this tunic / mini-skirt nowadays? I wish they would.
