Vintage Patterns From My "Stuffed" Bag

How cute and comfortable is the first pattern, above, for a little girl's top, shorts and skirt?
Perfect for summer - you have to know the white eyelet top with the blue gingham skirt is MY favorite!
I went to a "Stuff A Bag" sale last month at one of the best thrift stores we've got.
They provide the bags - a brown paper grocery sack.
Boy, I'll tell 'ya, I can stuff a bag like the best of them!
They charge you five dollars a bag.
I put all sorts of things into my bag, including the best of the vintage patterns I could find:
You'd be surprised at how much you can get into a bag when you're really determined.
The patterns are lightweight and, of course, they don't take up much room, either.
Stuff them in and around other things; you can do it!
When it was all said and done, and I added it up, I had forty-six dollars worth of priced items in my five dollar bag.
And that's not even the best I've ever done!

I think I have the McCall's 5402 dress pattern, or a very similar one. I love the Simplicity 7444 blouse pattern. I would make and wear that now. Good job stuffing! Love T

Wonderful! Love the old patterns. Great deal too. One of my local thrifts has a bag sale once a year. About 15 years ago it was a dollar a bag. This summer it was 10 dollars a bag. Inflation at a thrift store!

I still love white eyelet and any color gingham. And I too love the Simplicity 7444 blouse, especially the ones with the puffed sleeves.
