Vintage 50's and 60's Patterns

I don't have a lot of these vintage patterns, but I sure like some of the ones I do have! Does this lovely woman in the beret, below, not look as though she should be strolling along the banks of the Seine in Paris? They all look as cool as cucumbers in their classic sleeveless blouses. (From 1952)
I'd sure love to have that blue floral number in the pattern below with the gathered cummerbund belt at the waist, matching shoes and hat! Gorgeous! Did you notice that in each of the outfits depicted on the patterns I've shown, at least one of them is wearing gloves? I like how Diane Keaton wants to bring back wearing gloves. (This one from 1957)
And these last two ladies (from 1960) look incredibly stylish in their lovely dresses, as well!
I love what Julie over at Jane's Apron does with vintage patterns. When I purchased something from her, she sent me one of her cute postcards. You can buy them from her etsy shop!

I wonder if ladies had fewer head colds back in the old gloved-hand days? They say that germs on the hands is the easiest way to catch a cold. Just curious. Love T

You know, I would not be at all surprised if that was the case! Makes sense.
